Our visit was alright. I mean, it is Bob Evans. Has anyone ever finished a meal at Bob Evans and needed to profess to the world how amazing their experience was? Food is consistently good, service is adequate and atmosphere is Bob Evans. For me with places like this it all comes down to customer service... Our waitress was very nice and kept referring to people at our table as "baby." Other than the pet names the party was happy with the service. The one thing that I was not happy with during our brunch was that we had a coupon that had time limitations (has anyone ever heard of a thing?) Well we tried to use the coupon 10 minutes before the coupons "usable window" opened and the manager at the register refused to use it because he said the time on the coupon is to avoid the busiest time of the restaurant. He was talking to my wife about the restrictions of the coupon to avoid rush hours, but there wasn't anyone in line except my wife.... I passive aggressively looked at the manager and looked at my wife (the only person trying to pay their check, and therefore not exactly busy) and confirmed that the coupon couldn't be used to avoid a rush. Long story short -- we paid the full tab and learned a lesson that some managers are incapable of utilizing common sense or simple customer service. Of course we will be back to Bob Evans, but like I said ... everything falls back on customer service.

We've been to this Bob Evans restaurant for breakfast, lunch, dinner many, many times over the years. We had dinner here tonight. We came in at 807 pm on a Sunday evening (they close at 9 pm) and were seated immediately. You could tell that they were busy by the number of un-bussed tables however the lady who seated us and our server were very helpful. We were a party of four. We had a full meal menu i.e. soup, entrée and dessert. Two ordered chicken noodle soup for starters of which the waitress had a new batch of chicken soup made for us (they apparently ran-out of chicken noodle soup), the other two had vegetable soup. My son had the potato crusted flounder and I had the steak with portabella mushrooms. My other son had slow-roasted turkey melt sandwich and my wife had the slow-roasted turkey dinner. Then we all had pie for dessert - apple and/or pumpkin pie. Our food was served hot in a very timely manner. And we had an enjoyable dinner. We were seated around 810 PM and were out by 9 pm. I thought that was pretty efficient. Anything faster than that would have been a fast-food burger chain. It is a family-type, chain restaurant that caters to a high-volume of customers. They are busy most of the time. I observe that they try their best to be accommodating, and try to get the food served in a timely manner. Over the years my experience with this location has been positive. The food is not necessarily spectacular but it's not fine dining either. They are quick, usually clean and somehow for myself and my family, familiar and comfortable.

Having lived near them for years, I'd never eaten at a Bob Evans in my life. No one had ever suggested it. I'd seen their barn-like red buildings around interstate exits that I'd driven past every day, but not once had I decided to stop there. I finally decided to see what it was all about. So far it's been the worst mistake I've made in 2012. I ordered some kind of Smokehouse Burger, or some other such silly name. It had a little red barn logo beside its place on the menu to declare it a Bob Evans specialty... if this is one of their better items, I'd hate to see their less favorable selections. The burger arrived sitting on the plate in an island of grease. The bun and french fries were soggy from sitting in the trans fat ocean, and there was one smatter of disgusting looking substance that was the $1.00 up-charge to make it a Spicy Chipotle Smokehouse Burger. It looked like hot sauce stirred into Miracle Whip. I became a little nauseous by just looking at this garbage pile with a meat center floating in the grease trap they dumped from their skillet onto my plate. I tried to eat it anyway, because I was with company. First, used all the napkins I could find to try to sop up some of this disgusting liquid. Then I cut it in half so I could try to fit the bile in my mouth. If I were alone I wouldn't have even tasted this foul, desecrated animal corpse that they covered in brown lettuce and onion petals that looked like tater tots that had been stomped on their repulsive kitchen floor. One bite was all it took. I knew I would never eat at Bob Evans again. Life is too short to make this kind of mistake twice. This is the worst burger I've had in the Cincinnati area. Far worse than that horrible kitsch-trap Terry's Turf Club -- which I hate with a pure, honest hatred (see review) -- this is not fit for human consumption. Let this be a warning: Bob Evans is worse than McDonalds. It is the worst food I've had in recent memory. P.S. - The breakfast meal that was had across the table from me was also shiny with grease too. Do they deep fry their eggs?

J (I won't say his name here out of discretion), the cook, is losing business for this location At 8:55pm my friend and I decided to call Bob Evans (while sitting outside of it) to see when they closed. We were told they were open until 9:30pm so we went inside. Once inside, there was only one table with customers seated and the server was waiting on them. We stood at the hostess booth waiting patiently when we heard the cook, J, talking very loudly so that we could hear him. He was complaining that they were cleaning and closing. We knew they weren't closing for another 30 minutes. He wasn't just complaining a little, he went on and on talking to a couple of other people loud enough for us to feel uncomfortable that we would leave (or at least that is what he was hoping for). He was saying how they were closing in 20 mins and a server said,"That's not bad..imagine people coming in at 5 til close". We heard it all. One server yelled "why don't you say it a little louder". It was very clear that they were going to talk loud and proud until we left. The only thing I could compare this to would be a bully in a school trying to make someone feel uncomfortable. Completely absurd. At most restaurants, the person would be fired for something like this. We were standing at least 20 feet from the kitchen window as J continued to shout across the restaurant at us. When the server finally came over to seat us, we asked to speak to the manager. The server went back to get the manager and we could hear J ask what we said followed by a loud - "Man.. ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?" . I guess he was upset that we were going to talk to the manager. The manager (of course) assured us that she would personally take care of this. She did not offer to comp our meals, however, we would not have accepted since our problem was with the cook and who knows what would happen to the food. She did assure us that she would personally watch the food being cooked and that nothing would happen. She said she has been with Bob Evans 18 years and seemed professional. We had no problems with the manager. We left and went to another restaurant where we spent our money. Also, I will add that we never go to this area this was our first (and last) visit to this Bob Evans.

The service was awful. Also the food tasted grouse. Also the food took for ever and a lot of people left because they waited so long to get service. The table a crossed from us was not cleaned off for 20 mins after they got up and left. The restrooms were sticky and gross

Service was great. Food was great. I like Bob Evans, and for a poor college kid the price is pretty reasonable. Great breakfast food and coffee after a night of heavy drinking the night before. I like Bob Evans and feel that it is a good restaurant.

I just really really really love their blueberry crepes! Amazing! I also enjoy their caramel mocha. This is a great location with friendly staff. My boyfriend and I visit often- you can pretty much always find a coupon online!

The good: -Great service and fast. -The blueberry crepes were light & fluffy and the filling was sweet & creamy. Delicious. -My niece was happy with the chocolate chip pancakes. The not so good: -If my first taste of coffee was at Bob Evan's, it would have been my last. -The apple pie wasn't fully baked. It was golden brown on the outside but pasty white and doughy on the inside. Same for the apple cinnamon blossom. If my niece twists my arm for their chocolate chip pancakes I'll definitely return, but I'll skip the pie and coffee.

This is one of my favorite bob Evans! The service is always good and we hardly ever have to wait for a table. Yummy food, nice people, and good service, just and all around good place go have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The kids love it too!

I love a Bob Evans breakfast. I can be a bit of a chain restaurant snob, but I gotta admit that sometimes I just want some good ol' eggs, biscuits, home fries, and turkey sausage (the components of the 'Rise n Shine' breakfast as I order it). Service is always friendly (honestly, breakfast servers at Bob Evans are happier than they have a right to be at that time of day!). I've been here many times, always for breakfast, and I just can't relate to the other negative reviews. In addition to the friendly service, I appreciate that they offer a turkey breakfast meat option, the endless cups of coffee (stick with regular, their "coffee drinks" are not good), and the good value. Stick with the basics, which is what they do best, and enjoy a big, hearty breakfast with a smile. Oh, and they've recently added free wi-fi so it's also a good place to have a working breakfast.
